Arabic word bank for kids
To help develop new vocabulary, I've produced a simple printable to help my children jot down new words they come across as they read their Arabic books.
I've included space to write both the Arabic word and its translated meaning, as well as a small area to draw a simple picture to help remember the new word.
Take a look with the virtual preview below, and download My Arabic word bank printable to print at home.

Arabic detached pronouns poster book
I have avoided using the words "plural" and "dual" in the posters, instead choosing simpler language which will be clearer to younger children inshallah.
View it on your mobile or tablet device via Scribd to read as a digital book, or download and print at home to produce your own booklet, posters or flashcards.
Madina Arabic Reader lapbook lesson 1!
Some time back last year we started going through Madina Arabic Reader, however didn't get very far! I've decided to start again from lesson 1, and have made a lapbook corrisponding to the Madina Arabic reader lesson 1. We haven't finished it yet, but here are a few pics of what K has done so far...
Vocab mini book
Picture - word match game
Question vocab flaps
Sentence building cards K enjoyed using these cards as a game with me ...we would take it in turns to select a picture and ask the question "is this....", she would find it amusing if I picked a picture and asked if it was the wrong thing!
K still needs to complete the lapbook inshallah as still a few more mini-books / cards to add. Its helped K to remember alot of the vocab alhamdulillah because I have repeated alot through different activities.....May Allah facilitate her to remember it all long term (and me too!)
Its available for download inshallah HERE!

Arabic insects
Ok, so carrying on revision for Arabic club, I put together an activity sheet. The animals covered in last weeks lesson I believe were spider, ant and cow - however I included a bee on this sheet to keep an insect sort of theme going (also bee was covered in home school club last week). Inshallah I'll make another sheet to include cow and a couple of other animals later.
I've written on the harakat in the first set of words after printing, to help with reading inshallah.
I haven't asked K to write any Arabic words yet, so we'll see how she reacts to this tomorrow bi'ithnillah!
Inshallah, it can be downloaded HERE!
Madinah Arabic - Lesson Plan week 2
The 2nd weeks lesson plan for Arabic, (following the Madinah Arabic Reader ) is just a revision of week 1, covering page 3 of the book.
I've also decided to reduce the number of lessons to 2 a week, rather than 3 to allow Khadeeja more time to learn the vocab inshallah.
The lesson plan includes colour flashcards ready to print off for the lesson and can be down loaded to print here inshallah.

First Arabic lesson
Alhmadulillah K has done her first Arabic lesson this morning, following my lesson plan. (refer to previous post for introduction to what I am doing inshallah and book I am following).
Here is her finished work from today. I've put it up on the wall so that we can revise the words throughout the week inshallah.
