If you're like most Muslim parents, helping your children learn the Arabic alphabet is important to you. These fun colourful Arabic alphabet cards are just the thing to help inshaAllah.

 The internet brings to us a wealth of information and resources to our fingertips like never before Alhamdulillah.

No longer do we have to scour the high-street searching for what we want to find. With a few clicks of a button, we can discover what the world has to offer us.

I remember when my children were younger, all I had to teach the Arabic alphabet was a large poster hung up on the wall and one or two poor quality board books.....which I treasured!

In just a short few years, as more and more of us are deepening our desire to nurture our childrens curiosity and engage them in their learning adventures, more and more of us are turning to the internet to find awesome resources we can print at home, saving us £££s.

These Arabic alphabet cards are something I created that I would have loved to have had when my children were pre-schoolers, as I believe it would have helped tremendously in teaching the Arabic alphabet and early development of Arabic reading skills, and Allah knows best.

So, what is it exactly?...

Bi-lingual Arabic-English tracing board book review

If you are tired of printing off tracing worksheets, and having mounds of paper thrown into the bin, then please allow me to introduce to you this wipe able board book from Fun Tree Books, who kindly offered to send me a copy to review.

I've seen many of these type of letter tracing workbooks, and initially thought it wouldn't be much different to what I've already come across and used in the past. However (and here is where the famous "but" comes in!).....I was genuinely surprised when I opened the package shipped all the way from the US!

Arabic Alphabet lapbook 5 of 5!

The last five weeks have flown by subhanAllah! Here we have the final instalment of our Arabic alphabet lapbook series!

This lapbook covers the remaining 4 letters (rather than 6 like the previous lapbooks), so included is a small mini book with the full alphabet to allow your student to read their letters altogether on completion bi'ithnilllah!

5 weeks of Arabic alphabet lapbooks!

Alhamdulillah today we are sharing the first in a five-part series of Arabic alphabet lapbooks!

Over the next 5 weeks we'll upload a new lapbook to complete the full alphabet bi'ithnillah!

To help the similar looking letters be grouped together, the letter alif has been placed in the final lapbook rather than the first (so don't panic....alif is not missing!)

 - I know some of you may have preferred the letters to be in alphabetical order, however I found that by placing alif at the end, it allows the similar looking letters to be grouped together in separate lapbooks, which should help the child to learn how to distinguish between the sometimes very small differences inshaAllah.

This first lapbook covers letters ba to kha.

I'm using a file-folder which opens out - so the cover has been cut into 2 and each piece affixed to each opening flap.

The complete lapbook laid out.

Each letter has its own mini-book which is simply folded accordion style and stuck into place.

It includes a letter colour-in cover, a word example beginning with the letter and a letter trace page.

The final part is a simple alphabet colouring page with tashkeel (vowel markings)

I suggest that when you ask your child to colour this sheet in, you may find it helpful to encourage the use of 3 different colours - one colour for each of the separate vowel markings. For example, all the fathas perhaps in blue, all the kessrahs in pink and all the dummahs in yellow.....whatever colours your child likes. By separating each vowel into one colour it may help the child to recall the sound each makes (ah ee oo).

Cute Arabic Alphabet game you can print at home!

I'm always on the lookout for good quality educational materials that will inspire the kids as well as myself...and provide good value for money too!
I've bought many materials over the years which in hindsight, I really didn't need to. I think there are many resources which can be just as easily made yourself at home.....and sometimes they turn out better because they have been crafted with love!

Today I'm sharing these sweet Arabic alphabet cards, which can be used as a lovely tool to help familiarise and teach your children the Arabic letters.


It is a great resource to allow kids to learn through play!

 

The set consists of:

•  56 Arabic letter cards - containing 2 matching sets of the alphabet.
• 6 instruction cards for 5 different games
• 1 cover card.

I'd recommend printing onto card and for extra durability, laminating! I printed our set out yesterday and I have to say, they look pretty awesome mashaAllah! .....way better than something you would find similar in a shop...and for a fraction of the price too Alhamdulillah!
